After 12 months of slow running, lots of pain of the right glutes resulted in planter fasciitis pain in my foot. I wasn’t fit enough to run the York Marathon for the second year running, after very low impact training. It felt like the end of the road for running as I’d tried all types of massages, Pilates, Physio and chiropractice, pain injections, orthotics, all to no avail. I stopped all exercise and rested for 3 months with no improvement and I tried too many types of pain killers to mask the pain simply to enable me to walk the dog!! I was recommended to go and see Errol Lynch at Touch Tuina Massage Centre in York by a friend of my wife’s and a golfing friend also recommended Errol. So as a last throw, I had nothing to lose, considering every friend seemed to know somebody who would fix me to run, swim and bike again, but couldn’t.
Errol Lynch and his mighty team have worked on me for the last 6 months, about 14 hours in total during that period. I am now back in full training and have completed a marathon, half marathon, numerous 10k’s, spinning twice a week and a long weekly rides. So I’ve been getting back to a great fitness level with zero pain, working on strength and conditioning to help improve and gain fitness. I still have a long way to go, however, I’m definitely on the right path!
