Touch Tuina are offering Tuina and Chinese Foot Massage Courses and positions in the new Reflexology clinic in York city centre and we have places available for trainees! This is a great opportunity for you to train in Tuina and Chinese Foot Massage, with an option to join our team!
Starting in January/February 2025, a new training course in Tuina Therapeutic Massage will commence in our brand new clinic in York, which will involve 12 days of classroom-based teaching (Sundays – Tuesdays) and 1 day a week clinical observation and practice for 1 year. The Chinese Foot Massage training course will run alongside the Tuina course, both open to all students. The CFM course will also be taught over 12 Days (Sundays-Tuesdays) and require 100 hours clinical observation and practice.
We’re aiming to train new practitioners, with a view (not mandatory!) to joining us on the completion of the course. Students will learn the techniques through both being the ‘Patient’ and through practice, as well as practical classroom teaching. By being the ‘patient body’, this brings awareness of the health benefits that can be achieved and is a vital part of the learning experience. Observation and everyday practice are also key to effective learning. Errol and Mariana (master teachers in both Tuina and Chinese Foot Massage) will train students in a dynamic and enjoyable way and enable learning in how to practice these ancient and wise therapies effectively and professionally. With regard to CFM, in our own experiences we’ve found it highly beneficial in treating many issues not accessed through direct body massage. For example, internal body systems can be treated, such as the lymphatic and hormonal systems, along with areas such as breast, reproductive system and centre vertebrae.
Chinese Foot Massage boosts organ function and tones tissue throughout the body. It’s an extremely grounding and relaxing experience for the patient ~ a pleasure to receive as well as to give! Tuina Therapeutic Massage has transformed the lives of all of our practitioners, both personally and professionally. This ancient massage therapy is based on applying pressure over key points on the surface of the body and when stimulated in the right way, they release tension and increase circulation, which improves the body’s own natural healing process.
A Tuina practitioner can stimulate many points during a single treatment, covering more channels and meridians than would be comfortable if applied through acupuncture. Tuina also has the profound ability to work on local muscles near any trauma, break down adhesions and scar tissue at a local level to increase blood flow, nutrient and oxygen flow (chi), in order to carry away and /or repair damaged tissue. To that effect, we can treat injury as well as long term issues.
These courses are recommended to anyone seeking a profession of growth and profound healing in their lives, as becoming a health practitioner can be a stimulating and fulfilling career. It’s incredibly rewarding to support clients on their journey to improve their health and in that, experience immense personal growth also. We welcome any enquiries and look forward to meeting new faces on this amazing journey!
