Pillows are a big factor when it comes to neck pain, should you use 1 or 2? The key is to maintain netural spine alignment and make sure your neck is not strained. Below, you can see Peter with 2 pillows, his neck is too high and out of line with the rest of his body, this is causing a strain and will lead to neck pain.
A second option (above) is to use 1 pillow vertically underneath your main pillow to raise your shoulders, place your main pillow horizontally on top to keep that spinal alignment.
